LDC is assisting the City of University Place with its 2024 Comprehensive Plan update. LDC’s work on the project includes preparing the project charter and conducting a policy gap analysis relative to state law and regional policy changes. We are also helping with the land capacity analysis and the development of updated plan elements, preparing GIS maps, preparing the project SEPA, and aiding with project visioning and engagement.

Going Above the Standard

Our team was fortunate to work with the University Place team on the development of the Housing Action Toolkit in 2021. Our experience and background have proven to be valuable to the city as it plans for growth out to 2044. We are able to engage with the community and find solutions to complex and challenging issues communities like University Place endure as development and redevelopment occurs. Our goal is to work with the city on a plan that meets state and regional requirements, in a way that emphasizes the strong community values that make the city a special place to live, work, and play.
